1. Website — Terms of Use #
By using davidtiong.com you agree to the following terms.
Analytics: We use two analytics services on this site. Website Insights is our own privacy-first analytics, self-hosted on our own domain (stats.davidtiong.com) — it is cookieless (no cookies, no local storage, no persistent identifiers), and records page views, outbound link and button clicks, referring pages, general device type, and country. To count unique visitors without cookies, a daily-rotating, irreversible hash is derived from your IP address, browser, and language preference — these details are used only to generate the hash and are never stored. This data is not personally identifying and is never shared with any third-party service. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymised usage data such as pages visited, browser type, and approximate location. IP addresses are anonymised. You may be shown a one-time prompt to enable enhanced tracking — this is optional and relates to advertising features, which are disabled by default. You can opt out of Google Analytics via your browser settings or Google's opt-out tool.
Form submissions: Data submitted via forms is processed by Basin, which may store your IP address for security purposes.
Hosting: This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Data transmitted to and from the site may be processed by Cloudflare.
Intellectual property: All photographs, content, and software on this site are the property of David Tiong. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without written permission.
Affiliate links: Some links may be affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
2. Privacy Policy #
Website: Website Insights (self-hosted, cookieless) and Google Analytics collect usage data as described above. Website Insights does not use cookies or store personal data. Google Analytics uses cookies (see Terms of Use above). No additional personal data is stored by the website itself.
Cloudflare: This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare automatically collects basic performance metrics (page load times, browser type) via its Web Analytics beacon. This is controlled by Cloudflare, not by us. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Contact: If you contact us via the contact form or email, your name and email may be stored for correspondence. Consulting and service invoices are processed via Square — your payment details are handled by Square and are never seen or stored by David Tiong.
3. Software Products #
Software products are sold through Tiong Creative. Terms, privacy, and refund policies for software purchases are available at tiongcreative.com.au/terms.
